Diablo 3 will be released on the 15th of May. This is some big news a lot of us D1 and D2 fans have been waiting for, finally a release date!

How excited are you all for playing some Diablo 3, filled with the wrath of hell, ready to be smited down, but only by the mightiest of foes.

Diablo 3 is filled with loads of awesome gameplay, including the slightly controversial real auction money house, which personally I am really looking forward to. Some people are not so sure about it, but we will wait and see how the game pans out upon launch.

If you pre order your digital copy on the Blizzard website now, then you can guarantee your spot for launch day. I am slightly sad and have already purchased the annual pass so I have my guaranteed spot err… guaranteed.

If you want to check out some of the awesome features coming in diablo III then checkout this page: http://eu.blizzard.com/en-gb/games/d3/

A summary of some of the great features, gameplay and content in Diablo 3 are:

  • 5 Playable Class, including the Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor and the Wizard.
  • Artisans including the Blacksmith and Jeweller.
  • 3 Followers, The Enchantress, Scoundrel and Templar.
  • Skill Runes.
  • PvP Arenas (Not at launch).
  • Expanded Difficulty.
  • Plus a brand new epic storyline (but who cares about story when you can bash zombie skulls in?).

If like me you are thinking about booking some time off, then just remember launch days can be crazy and you might not be able to get the best experience on a launch day, yet with Diablo 3 it is a co-op mainly game, so there should be no queues waiting for bosses or quest respawns like Cataclysm on Silvermoon EU on the day of launch!

Will you be playing Diablo 3? What character will you play? Tell us in the comments below.
