After posting up the big list of free games I recieved a few emails saying, cool list but I where can I find some awesome free strategy war games online to play? So here it is, a list of free strategy war games to play online.
World of Tanks
The most well known and biggest free strategy game, must be World of Tanks. It is all over the place and it such a popular game. In World of Tanks you have to equip, manage and maintain your tanks in a garage, this is where you can chat to players and improve your tanks. After managing your tank, you can then go into battle versus other players and use some great tactics to destroy the enemy. Worth trying out, especially if you love tanks.

Supremacy 1914
Supremacy 1914 is an extremely intense strategy game. If you want pure strategy with slightly below average graphics (compared to current titles) then this is the game for you. It focuses heavily on being tactical and using your whit to outsmart the enemy.

Planetside 2
Planetside 2 is a fantastic game with a lot of potential to be a great game. You can declare alegiances, compete in massive warfare and even use your strategy skills on a global scale. It has a better actual game than most of these games listed and has a great overall strategy to it.

Combat Arms
Combat Arms is an online strategy war game, perfect for people who want to get stuck into some heavy tactics. With a built in clan system it is a great game for clans as well. You can customize your character, modify weapons and best of all it is free to play.

Star Trek Online
Star Trek Online is a free to play MMO which allows you to immerse yourself in the Star Trek universe. I would probably only recommend it for people who really do love Star Trek and not for someone who is looking for a great game to play.

Battlestar Galactica is a sci fi based game which is heavy on the tactics and strategy. You can choose to play as either the cylons or humans. The main focus in on space combat, with multiple ships to command and customise.

Dynasty warriors is a great game on the console. Now it has come to PC in the form of an MMO, perfect for people looking for a more medieval type of strategy game, worth checking out as the combat is very intense.
