Is Apple making a video game console?

I believe that’s what they could be up to- using an Ipad to play video games on an Apple TV.

What do you guys think?

I believe they would make an awesome console, but at what cost… That’s the problem. Any console that is towards £400 is too expensive in my opinion. The wii U is £250 on launch, which still feels expensive.

It could be great if the cost was kept down.

Lol, I think “keeping costs low” is probably the last possible thing Apple would ever do. Steam, on the other hand, certainly would. Maybe with a collaborative, Steam could convince Apple to offer a reasonable price.

Lol, well exactly this is would be the dangerous thing of apple joining the console market.

Maybe they are or maybe they are just making accessories and getting into the hardware business of gaming to start. Xbox is the only thing microsoft owns that still dominates Apple, as Apple is not in the market, so it would make sense for Apple to acquire and develop its own platform eventually.
